WPXI, an NBC affiliate in the Pittsburgh/Butler PA area, reports that – according to “multiple law enforcement sources” – “Thomas Crooks was spotted by law enforcement on a roof nearly 30 minutes before shots were fired.”

Our take: This should be taken with a grain of salt until we get further confirmation. It seems plausible based on the other evidence we’ve seen so far, but something being stated by unnamed law enforcement sources doesn’t automatically mean that it’s true. The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office and WPXI should release the alleged photos and any other relevant evidence.
